Bossotel Chiang Mai

The rooms felt overpriced. The area is nice and a little more local than the old town, but the train right across the street can be loud and bring backpackers into the busy surroundings. Breakfast was free in the mornings and decent, though the serving hours could be extended for people training muay thai nearby. Renovations were going on during our stay: loud electric tools started around 9 AM, construction and tools mostly blocked the entrances, and there was sawdust everywhere from the decking work. They were also spray painting the hotel without good ventilation, and no discount was offered during construction. I didn't find cockroaches in the room, but saw many around the decking and lobby. The pool is in a separate building attached to nearby condos. It's very old, taken over by pigeons, and needs renovation.

I bought the room and hotel package at a travel fair in SG. My parents really enjoyed their stay, and I want to thank Kun Pui and the team for looking after them so hospitably. Their flight from bangkok to chiang mai was badly delayed in Nov, and the hotel provided dinner on the house, which was beyond expectations. They also suggested lots of places for my parents to explore. Thank you!!

I haven't stayed here yet, but next time I definitely will. The location is fantastic, with plenty of food nearby, and the staff made me feel right at home with how kind and welcoming they were. I even bought my train tickets here, and it was quick and efficient. The stylish, unique decor has lots of clocks that give the place a quirky vibe, and the couch is so comfortable, a great spot to relax. Highly recommend!

For the price, this is worth it for me: hot water, a tub in the older rooms, good linen, and ice-cold AC. I sleep like the dead here. It's a solid hotel next to the train station, and there's some noise from the station around 0800, but it isn't bad.
