Cha Chiangmai Luxury

The breakfast was amazing and very cheap. The hotel was clean and impressed me, but the staff really went the extra mile. The girl who came to take our breakfast order was especially friendly and had a lovely smile.

I planned on staying a week, but ended up there for close to three and a half months through March 2024. The fair rates, especially the long-stay discounts, modern and comfortable rooms and facilities, and very helpful staff kept me extending my stay. It was a new hotel when I visited, with modern, attractive decor and lots of sunlight in the rooms. It’s only a few minutes from the city centre, but the area around it is peaceful, quiet, and free of traffic, a good place to meditate. I got a lot of work done because the internet was fast, strong, reliable, and uninterrupted. The kitchen staff made delicious Thai food. Everyone was helpful, especially the manager Aek, who was responsive, respectful, and went out of his way to make me comfortable. The receptionists, especially First, were cordial and always greeted us with a genuine smile. For a longer stay, I’d suggest emailing the hotel directly to ask for a reasonable rate. I extended one month at a time and got a very good offer that included laundry and either breakfast or lunch each day. I love Chiang Mai, a developed city with great infrastructure that still feels like a small town, with open, warm, friendly locals. I’m looking forward to staying here again next time I’m in Chiang Mai.

We booked seven days and regretted it. The room was okay, but the shower temperature kept changing, and we couldn’t find anything luxurious about the place. Staff seemed busy on their phones and were inattentive and unresponsive. It took three days to get my tea bags and sugar replaced. Coffee cost 30 baht and was easily the worst I’ve ever tasted. Getting anywhere costs 150 baht or more for a ride. Maybe it’s fine for one night before leaving, but I’d give it a miss for a longer stay.

The rooms feel very new and comfortable, and the hotel is in a good spot just outside the city centre. I’d recommend staying here.
