Chang Moi Guest House

The staff are friendly and helpful, but for this price you can find better rooms in Chiang Mai. There are loads of ants and mosquitoes in the rooms and hallways, and the room often gets cigarette smoke coming in from outside. The bathrooms are tiny, the bed is hard, and the thin wooden doors do nothing to keep noise out. The wall sockets don't hold plugs properly, which is annoying. Also, no elevator!!!

The room was big and clean, with good AC and a nice view from the top floor. It's a quiet guest house, well placed for exploring town, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I also liked the shared kitchen and being able to refill drinking water there. Getting up to my room on level 4 meant a lot of stairs, so keep that in mind if you're carrying much or stairs are tough for you. Haha! I came back to Chiang Mai after a week driving around Northern Thailand and stayed here for a couple more nights. I'd stay again if I return. The place really is that good, and the lovely women working there even shared some fruit snacks with me! 😁

Good-sized, cute and clean room, with a hot shower. It was quiet and set back from the main road, close to trendy rooftop cafes and Warorot Market.

The staff were friendly, and I loved the location near the old city. You can walk around and enjoy everything from here.
