The surroundings were stunning, and we had a wonderful five-day stay. Everything was clean and everyone was so friendly. After breakfast, we got into the habit of going almost every morning for a massage at the temple around the corner. It was such a lovely experience in a beautiful little town.

The staff are lovely, and the rooms are nice and clean. Gordon, the owner, is very friendly and always good to chat with. It's a great guesthouse in a great location. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in chiang mai.

I spent about a month at Kavil Guesthouse in February/March 2025 and had a beautiful stay. It's a pleasant, fairly quiet hotel in Chiang Mai old town, close to everything important. My room was clean and well lit, with a nice view. Gordon, Nit, and Tan were generous and helped me find my way around Chiang Mai. I also enjoyed chatting with Gordon about god and the world. They serve coffee and other drinks, and there's a vegetarian food place next door. Thank you!

We slept really well during our four nights here. It was very quiet, and although we heard the neighbours' dogs once in five days, it was only for a few seconds and didn't bother us. The basic room had two beds, plenty of space for our two big backpacks, comfortable blankets, good AC, and a good shower. It was clean and very nice. The location is great, with lots of nice spots around the corner. They also have really nice coffee and a fridge with drinks, including beer. We'd stay again and definitely recommend it for a peaceful stay with all the action within walking distance.

For the price, location, and quality, I honestly think this is one of the best deals in Chiang Mai. It's a lovely little family-run hotel by the main gate, inside the old city. The rooms are spacious and super clean, the service is good, and someone is there 24 hours a day.
