F Plus F Hostel

The terrace was noticeably dirty from pigeon droppings, so we left the balcony door locked and didn’t use it. Apart from that, my friend and I were very satisfied with our four-night stay. Our triple room was spacious and clean, and the hostel gave us a quiet, comfortable place to rest about an 8-10 minute walk from the old city. It’s also less than a 10-minute drive from the airport, but for Grab, search “Friends and Family Hostel.” Searching “F plus F hostel” as listed on Google takes you to the wrong location. There are several cafes just steps away. The hostel has no laundry, but there’s an inexpensive service within a five-minute walk, plus coin laundromats nearby. The water pressure was a little weak but fine for a shower, and the hot water worked well. Three bottles of drinking water were provided free each day, which saved us from having to go out to buy it. On the first floor there’s a microwave, hot water dispenser, bowls, and utensils. The host was kind and responsive on WhatsApp at any hour. When a lightbulb went out, he arrived within 30 minutes to fix it. It’s a good option for a relaxing stay in Chiangmai, and I recommend it.

The interior is basic and a bit worn around the edges, but the value is amazing. For the price, you get cable TV, free water, hot showers, AC, a fridge, and even a hair dryer. Quite a deal.

We only meant to stay three nights at F Plus F, but ended up there for a week. We left because all the rooms were already booked after that. The rooms are bright and clean, Mr. Withawatt always greets you with a smile at reception, and the free bicycles are a great extra.

The owner is helpful with whatever you need, and the hostel is clean and very nice for the money. I’ll definitely come back when I’m in Chiang Mai again.
