Chirin Home

This was my third stay at chirin home, and it’ll be my last. I booked a week ahead because I chose the hotel for its swimming pool, but nobody messaged to say it was closed, and the desk didn’t mention it when we arrived. When we asked for a partial refund or some other compensation, they offered a coffee, even though two 2thb coffees were already included in the room. The manager is a scammer. Such a shame, but we won’t come back.

The location isn’t ideal if you want to walk around: there aren’t many places to eat nearby, and getting to the old city takes a bit of a walk. It’s manageable once a day but annoying if you want to come back to your room for a break. With a scooter, it’s all good. The rooms were clean and nice, the staff very helpful, and I liked that they provided water in glass bottles instead of plastic.

The river nearby is a lovely spot to sit and have a drink. The rooms were clean, the staff super helpful, and it’s great value for money. The location is good, though a bit of a walk from the main area and Sunday night markets. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We’d booked for a week but left after one night. The beds felt like wooden boards, and after that first night we woke up with serious back pain and couldn’t sleep properly. We politely asked about checking out early or getting a partial refund, but there was no flexibility, just repeated “no” and “manager says no,” while the manager was never available. Very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it if comfort, sleep, or basic customer service matter to you.
