The bathroom was clean and had no smell, which hasn’t always been the case at places I’ve stayed. I slept really well and didn’t notice the noise mentioned in some reviews. The staff were so helpful and nice, and made me feel at home. For a high season stay, the price seemed like the best deal I could find for this standard. I’ll be back.

The location is a little removed from the main tourist sights, so you may need transport. Chorlada Lanna Hotel is a simple, decent place for a short stay, with fairly roomy, clean rooms that look a bit dated. The receptionist was very helpful, though not especially engaging. Breakfast is basic, with limited choice, but enough to get the day started. It’s fine if you’re not too particular and want somewhere comfortable to rest.

It’s inexpensive, but the constant noise from morning until midnight made it a terrible place to rest. I wouldn’t choose it if you need quiet. It’s terrible for your mental health.

I’d strongly recommend Chorlada Lanna Hotel in Chiang Mai to other travelers. My stay was fantastic, and it offered great value without giving up quality.

The room was good and the bed comfortable. A nearby bar makes nights quite loud, but that didn’t bother me. I was going to stay a few more nights until someone entered my room in the middle of the day despite my “Do not disturb” sign. I don’t know what to make of that. There was also a price difference: on the phone they quoted 850baht, but when I arrived 10 minutes later it was 890baht. When I asked about it, she ignored the question and changed the subject. The late shift receptionist did his job well, though. Parking a motorbike was quite challenging.
