Cumpun Guest House

A quiet, relaxing lobby and friendly, accommodating hosts made this a nice place to stay. Our room had good space, and the price was really good value. There are a couple of mom-and-pop shops across the road, along with a water station using reverse osmosis. It was a little too bright in the room at night, but covering the AC temperature display with a sock helped.

For just 11 dollars a night, you get your own room and bathroom. That's an unbelievably fair price, and the place is so great that I almost didn't write this review in case it made it harder to book here next time. I do wonder a little about how they cover their costs, especially the air conditioning. They also leave a free bottle of water each day. It's a minimalist room in a wonderful area, ideal if you just need somewhere to sleep and shower. The room was clean, though you might occasionally find bugs. Come on, it's Thailand, bugs can show up out of nowhere. There can be loud sounds outside, but they usually stop before 12pm. The girl at the front desk was so kind and helpful, and I'm really grateful to her.

The hostel is in a local neighbourhood near Kadluang market. Our room was okay and quite big, and it came with bathroom kit.

A clean, tidy room at a very reasonable price, in a location that worked perfectly for tourists.
