On our first visit to Chiang Mai, we were glad we picked Darley. Warorot Market is an easy walk away, which was great for experiencing the local side of the city. We stayed six nights, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Breakfast was included, but the kitchen wasn’t halal, so at first our options were only yogurt and cereal. The restaurant manager came over to ask about our dietary needs, then arranged seafood fried rice for the rest of our stay so we’d have a proper meal. When it wasn’t available, he asked staff to prepare and replenish more fruit. At checkout, a senior staff member saw how much luggage we had and kindly offered us a ride to the airport. We were touched by the team’s care, initiative and hospitality. We left a piece of our heart in Chiang Mai and will definitely be back ☺️

The rooms in the main building are bright and modern, if a little small, and I enjoyed my six nights overall. The beds really are extremely firm, as some reviews said, and I woke up with sore limbs most mornings. It was handy to be a short walk from 7-Eleven and Warorot Market. One thing that was hard to ignore, though, was the noticeable urine smell in the lobby throughout our stay. The bathrooms sit on either side of the single small elevator. Thanks for having us.

The beds are a bit hard, so they might not suit you if you’re sensitive to that, but the good vibe made it matter less to me. We came to celebrate my birthday, and the staff gave me the sweetest gift. Chef Jang and Phoom were especially great, and their cheerful breakfast greetings made my day. The place is also close to the market and night bazaar.

The staff are incredible, and the AC is top notch. Everything works, and I’m giving this place five stars because I don’t want people to avoid booking it. A few things to know, though: the beds are hard as rocks, no exaggeration, and I woke up with limbs gone numb. The rooms aren’t dated, but they do look used and could really use a good scrub. I wiped down surfaces and my wipes came away clearly grimy. WiFi is free and open, which is good, but its connection and speed consistency could be better.

The location is very close to central Chiang Mai, which is convenient, though there isn’t a nearby convenience store. The room itself is spacious and has good air conditioning. Some facilities are quite old, but still work adequately. The hairdryer was the one problem during my three-day stay. After about two or three minutes of use, it would overheat and stop. I thought it had broken and tried another socket, but it still wouldn’t turn on. After letting it cool for five to ten minutes, it started working again. I was considering asking the hotel to replace it. The coffee shop opposite the hotel is good too. I’m not sure if it’s the same one, but it’s like the popular cafe “lots of taste”.
