Dream Thai Guesthouse

People at this guest house are regulars, and it was fun chatting with them on the rooftop at sunset. Leo and his family are wonderful, and they know the city and nearby attractions well. They were super helpful with getting around. This felt like the most affordable hostel I've stayed in Tai, and the atmosphere was the best. You really get 120% value for your money. It makes you feel at home.

The family running this Chinese place was really nice. Their restaurant downstairs serves great dumplings, though there's no beer. It's only a block from the old City wall. The price should tell you what to expect, so bring a towel and be ready for a stiff mattress.

For around 100 baht a night, I'd come back. Dream Thai is a straightforward hostel at a fair price, with decent rooms and facilities that are a little old. The dorms are open to the outside air and use fans for cooling. The owners were very friendly and got up to check me in when I arrived late. They hadn't seen my messages about the late arrival, though, so calling them would be a better idea.

The rooftop view was nice, and the staff were kind, though sometimes they seemed a little irritated with guests. I only came here because the hostel next door had no room. There's a small desk for computer work, but three-prong power outlets are uncommon. Not much else to say, it's okay.
