Dum Hotel

Breakfast was the best part, with local dishes cooked fresh, fresh fruit and very good croissants. Guests can also get water, coke and snacks any time of day or night. The hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk from the old town or city center. There's a seven eleven and some food stalls nearby, and the area felt safe and fairly peaceful at night. The patio and little pool are nice for relaxing during the day or after dark. I stayed six nights. The rooms are quite big and the bed was comfortable, but I missed having a wardrobe or other storage for a longer visit. The bathroom is spacious too, though the water sometimes drained slowly and there could be an unpleasant smell. It's a decent base for visiting Chiang Mai, just don't expect anything superb. It's just okay.

The soundproofing is really poor, so I'd suggest putting families and non-families on separate floors. Aside from that, DUM was a great stay, with a superb interior and free-flowing drinks and food available 24 hours. The location is easy to get around from, with a 7eleven right across the road.

Great staff, a delicious breakfast, and a huge refrigerator where you can grab water or snacks whenever you like. Probably the best choice you can make!

The room was comfortable, and nights were quiet. It’s an easy walk to Chiang Mai old town, which made the location especially good. The hotel was very clean and pleasant, with snacks and soft drinks available freely. Breakfast changed each day, so we got to try a range of well-known Thai dishes. Highly recommend.
