Gap's House

It's a historic hotel, so there are cracks in the doors, but the bug net worked perfectly and the AC and fan kept things comfortable. I'd suggest using bug spray at breakfast. The price can't be beaten, and I'd strongly recommend staying here if you're fine with a more rugged, traditional place. The location in historic Chiang Mai is perfect, right next to a gorgeous Wat. The simple breakfast each morning was nice, and I felt very safe walking around alone at night, even as a small woman.

The garden outside is beautiful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's a lovely place in Old City Chiang Mai, with a perfect location and tidy, good-looking rooms. If there were a fridge in the room, it would be perfect.

I'm sensitive to city noise, so the quiet nights here felt like a little piece of heaven. The mattress was perfect, and the mosquito net over the double bed was the best I've seen. I really needed it. The staff were thoughtful and helpful, and breakfast was something I looked forward to every morning.

The room's a little dated, but I liked the cabin feel and small sitting area. It works really well for a solo traveler and would be perfect for a couple. The Gap house is close to the night market and bars, yet tucked away somewhere quiet. The hosts were incredible, and the atmosphere was warm and peaceful. Breakfast is included and was just right. I loved my stay and would highly recommend it.
