Give Me 5 Hostel

We spent almost two weeks here and had a really pleasant stay. It’s a peaceful, relaxed place, somewhere between social and quiet without being extremely social. The location worked perfectly for us, with shops, food markets, temples and the jazz bar all within walking distance. Our private beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. We’d come back for sure!

We only got to stay one night, and I wish we’d had longer. The room was much bigger than expected and very clean, and the staff made us feel welcome. It’s an affordable, charming place in a central spot near shops, cafés and nightlife. Even with everything close by, it was peaceful enough for a good night’s sleep.

The hostel was clean and otherwise good, but it wasn’t social at all. The noise at night was the real problem. I was in room 102 with my head right beside four huge industrial barrels, with only a thin wall between us. There was a deep, loud rumble that made sleep impossible without my very best earplugs. I can’t speak for the other rooms. At Christmas the place was fully booked, and staff said there was nothing they could do.

The coffee shop downstairs was handy and served great drinks. The staff were kind and gave useful tips about the area. It’s in the old town, close to lots of good restaurants, shops and other places.
