Glory Boutique Suite

The reception staff were so kind and helpful throughout our stay. We loved the room too, it was modern, clean, comfortable and beautifully designed. After exploring Chiang Mai, the rooftop pool was the perfect place to unwind. We absolutely loved Glory Boutique Hotel and couldn’t recommend it more!

We traveled over 40 hours to get here, and booked Glory Boutique Hotel at a premium price specifically for its rooftop pool, which features heavily in the marketing. Nobody told us it was closed. We arrived at 8am to drop off our bags, knowing check-in was at 3pm, but they waited until check-in to say the pool was unavailable. It felt deliberately withheld. The room was mediocre and nowhere near worth the inflated rate. Worse, the air conditioning was out of order in 36°C heat. After nearly two days of travel, walking into a hot room with zero AC was unacceptable. We called the booking agency immediately and demanded a refund. Now we have to spend even more elsewhere to get the amenity we originally booked for, costing us money and time we shouldn’t have had to spend. Poor communication, no transparency, and overpriced for what you get. Completely unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The rooms looked stunning, and the staff were polite, but the stay was very disappointing and ruined a break we’d been looking forward to. The pool was closed with no warning, no discount offered, and no mention at check-in. The only notice was a poster in the elevator suggesting a pool nearly 1km away at another hotel, which is not an acceptable substitute. I expect many guests, like me, booked partly for the pool. There was barely hot water in either the shower or bath, just lukewarm at best. The tub needed a proper scrub, blonde hairs were all over the bathroom floor, and the bed had only two very flat pillows. Construction noise started at 9am, also without warning. At just over 2k a night, booking here feels like an expensive mistake.

The rooftop has stunning views, though the bar and food prices up there are definitely inflated. Breakfast was excellent and the location was great. The rooms are nice, but the air conditioning was a little weak. There’s no hair conditioner, and you have to pay for water beyond the two bottles provided, unlike at other hotels.
