Hyde Park Chiangmai

The only room drawback was that we couldn’t go out onto the balcony. The porter was incredibly helpful, carrying our bags, holding the door and even driving me to 7/11. Sadly, I didn’t catch his name. The security guard outside was friendly too, and the hotel room itself was very nice.

Even though planes taking off from the nearby airport are audible, that didn’t bother me. The suite had plenty of room, a kitchenette, all the amenities I needed, a large sofa, two TVs and two air-cons. It was quiet enough to relax, and close to Nimman area and the old town. The bellman and guard were always accommodating, helping with the parking, luggage and doors. Love this place, I’ll be back.

The location is peaceful, and the apartment-style rooms are huge, with kitchenettes, lounge areas and balconies. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the old town or Nimman, so it’s a little out of the way if you want to do lots of sightseeing compared with hotels in the square. Still, it’s great value, especially if you’re working or need the space. I’d highly recommend it.

The room was spacious, with a lovely mountain view in the distance, and there’s a laundromat conveniently nearby. A friendly pigeon even turns up each morning as part of the experience 😂. The neighborhood is calm, the staff were warm and welcoming, and check-in was smooth and hassle-free. I paid a small extra fee for early check-in and found it worthwhile.
