July Garden Inn

We only had one night at Trace Hotelistro, and I wish we could have stayed longer. The staff were among the nicest we’ve met at a hotel, and we’ll be recommending the place to everyone we meet. The chill atmosphere and hotel design were lovely, too. Our room was just right, with a very comfortable bed and a great balcony. We almost didn’t want to leave and explore. Try a smoothie bowl in the morning if you stay. I had the Lychee berry one and can 100% recommend it. Thanks for a wonderful last night in Thailand. We’ll definitely be back!

Trace is close to the night bazaar, and I’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re going to Chiang Mai. It was quiet, the staff were lovely, and the bedrooms were very clean and beautiful. I had a great time. The smoothie bowls and cocktails were amazing, and everything felt just perfect.

The quaint jazz bar and restaurant downstairs are a nice bonus, and the location between the night bazaar and old city is ideal. The place has real character: the owner turned a 150-year-old bakery into a hostel, giving it a beautiful mix of rustic and contemporary design.

The rooms are comfortable and minimalist, just what you need in Chiang Mai, and everything is close by. There’s a great community feel, plus great smoothie bowls and Thai-inspired cocktails. Definitely 5 stars!
