Key Hotel at Old City Center

The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the AC worked well. I also appreciated the better-than-usual hair dryer. Noise was minimal, with only a little evening sound from a nearby live music bar or club, and it didn’t bother me. I didn’t get any bites during my four days there in January. The southeast part of the Old City is a very practical place to stay, with an ATM, 7-Eleven, and plenty of local cafes and restaurants nearby. It’s excellent value. There’s no safe or elevator, but the stairs are wide and easy to manage, even with a large suitcase. Chiang Mai is a lovely city, and I’ll definitely come back.

Really nice people, good service, and clean rooms.

The staff were great, and it’s in a great location for getting around. The place was clean and had very few bugs, and I enjoyed my stay. The rooms could use fresh paint, especially around the mirror. The bed was a bit too hard for me over my three-week stay.

The twin room was fine for two people, with good lighting and enough space. There isn’t much extra room to move around, but it works if you just need somewhere to sleep. The downside was a bad smell that seemed to come from the bathroom. Even though the room seemed new, it had an odor that made it feel like it hadn’t been looked after properly.
