The pool area looked like something out of a fairy tale. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I first saw it, and I fell in love with the whole atmosphere. The people were amazing, always polite and ready to help. They quickly sorted out every little issue, found a solution for a leaking window, and arranged a hotel taxi when all the Grab drivers refused our ride. They also had nice suggestions for places to check out. Thank you for such an amazing stay!

It was impossible to relax because of an extremely loud event nearby. There seems to be some kind of hippie drum and singing commune, with people literally screaming and yelling. I’m not sure whether this happens regularly, but it’s something to keep in mind.

The towels were dirty, the WiFi seemed fake, and the bed and pillows were hard. The shower swung between freezing and scalding hot.

The beds were comfortable, the café was lovely and the food was nice. The Executive Room had great space and furniture, and I enjoyed the quiet mornings by the lake. It’s also very cute, with lots of potential. I can imagine it was one of the coolest four-star hotels when it first opened. But a lot of details need updating or replacing. Some pool towels were so worn they had holes, and the gym equipment was rusty and had holes in it too. There are ants behind the bathroom wall in the Executive Suite. I don’t mind too much, having seen worse in Bali, but for a four-star place it could be better. The distance from shops and town could be a plus or minus depending on what you like. I liked the peaceful mornings by the lake, but my boyfriend was annoyed that the nearest grocery store was 20 minutes away.
