Lazy Gibbon 1 Chiang Mai - Tha Phae Gate

A small, high-quality boutique hotel with friendly, welcoming service that was faultless. The room was comfortable and clean, with a really good shower, a bath, and a small balcony. It's well located for everything. The walk from the railway station is an easy one at about 40 minutes, but only if you're travelling light. With a suitcase, I'd take a taxi. Remember, there's a 1,000 Baht cash deposit at check-in, returned at checkout as long as there's no damage.

The staff really made this stay for me. Everyone was so welcoming and genuinely lovely. The hotel is a charming little place right in the city center, close to pretty much everything. My room was roomy and had a great view of the temple beside it. Only downside was the noisy air conditioner, so bring earplugs if you're sensitive to that.

We had a comfortable room with a nice bathtub, and a beautiful temple right beside the hotel to look at. The Old Chiang Mai location worked really well, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. We had a great stay and I'd happily come back.

The little pool was peaceful and felt quite intimate, and the staff were attentive and couldn't have been friendlier. Our clean room had an amazing balcony view over a temple. Snacks, drinks, and other room extras were complimentary and replenished when needed. The location near Tapae Gate is excellent. Just remember there's a 1000tbh deposit at check-in, which they return at the end of the stay. Thanks for having us, Tapae Gate Villa ❤️
