Link Mansion

Everything was fine until flooding meant I needed to book an extra night. I’d stayed here for two weeks and asked to extend by one night. The hotel was full at first, but then some guests canceled because of the floods, so a room opened up. I negotiated to pay the same nightly rate I’d paid for the previous 15 nights. After staying the extra night, I was told to pay the full price, and they wouldn’t discuss it. To top it off, there’s no card reader, so you can’t pay by card.

Great value for money, and the central location is handy. The place is clean and has a really pretty design. Good AC, a nice TV, comfy bed, lovely shower, fridge, and small balcony. There are laundry facilities here, plus a laundromat and a 7-11 down the road :)

The bed was very comfortable, and the staff were friendly. There was a plumbing smell, and I found hair in the shower drain. Guests were extremely loud from 4am to 5am, maybe drunk or partying? From other reviews, they might be long-term residents in the apartment.

The hotel itself is nice, clean, safe, and has good rooms. But the location was far worse than we expected. The listing said it was 2 km from downtown, which clearly wasn’t right. We felt isolated, and couldn’t find taxis or Tuktuks. When I asked the front desk about it, she said the hotel was for “students.” It’s not tourist-friendly. If you want to experience the tourist side of town, I wouldn’t stay here.
