Melia Chiang Mai

I loved the poolside area, where we spent a few hours relaxing in a nice mix of sun and shade. We also went up to the rooftop for a drink one night, and the view was beautiful. I’d recommend going up even just for the nighttime view. The hotel is beautiful, modern, and clean, and the staff were courteous and friendly throughout. It’s near the main area but not right in the middle of it, with a pleasant short walk to the night markets. I stayed at the Melia for a few nights in Feb and had absolutely no complaints. I’d love to come back next time I’m in CNX. Thanks so much to the whole team.

The rooftop venue was being renovated during my visit, so I couldn’t try it. Everything else exceeded my expectations. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I stayed at Meliá Chiang Mai in March 2024. Breakfast was the highlight, with lots of fresh choices, easily one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. The pool area was beautiful and a perfect place to unwind after exploring Chiang Mai. I’d gladly stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting.

We stayed 13 nights this time, following a 9-night visit in June 2025, and the staff are still what make Meliá Chiang Mai special. I’m grateful for our stay and would gladly return. The room assignment was disappointing. We were on the sixth floor of the lower-rise tower, with limited views, rather than the exceptional river and mountain views from the main tower. As returning guests staying a long time, we had hoped for better. There was no welcome fruit tray either, which we’d received on our previous visit. On one occasion it was hard to reach room service by phone, and service at the Sky Lounge wasn’t as attentive as elsewhere. The team made the visit memorable. Housekeeping and room attendants Ms. Jubjang, Ms. Jay, and Ms. Ya decorated for the birthday with lovely towel creations and thoughtful details. Their care throughout the stay was outstanding. Thanks too to Ms. Fay from Guest Services, who helped coordinate the celebration. Lalita, the Guest Services Manager, responded quickly and played an important part in making it happen at short notice. North, the concierge, always greeted us warmly, asked about our day, and had helpful suggestions. Lydia in the restaurant was kind and welcoming, always saying hello with a smile, even when we were just passing through. I may have forgotten some other front desk, restaurant, and concierge staff by name, but their professionalism and kindness stood out.

The staff have been so kind and considerate, always going above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable. I’m very particular about cleanliness, and this hotel passed my test. It’s also in a great spot, an easy walk to shops, markets, massage, coffee, and laundry. We liked it so much we added three more nights. I’ve only been here one night so far, but I’m already so grateful for this hotel. It’s clean and spacious, and I absolutely love our room. The gym is well equipped, with thoughtful extras like nuts and cool towels, and there’s delicious water in the lobby.
