Norn-Nanta House

The owner was so nice and offered me the choice to change rooms because there were some bugs in mine. The location is convenient, and they even provide a functional bicycle. At night the hostel is a bit dark, so you might prefer staying in your room instead of the common area. That wasn’t a problem for me as a traveler looking for a good night’s sleep. This place has a lot of potential to be more comfortable. If the rooms were cleaner, it would be a really great place to stay in Chiang mai.

The host made us feel at ease and shared helpful local tips, from good food at the markets to nearby festivals and concerts. That guidance made our time in Chiang Mai feel special. The place had the comfort of a warm home, and the room was spacious and beautifully maintained, a great retreat after a day out. We also got complimentary breakfast each morning. Everything exceeded our expectations from start to finish. For comfort and genuine hospitality, this was hands down the best stay we could have asked for in Chiang Mai.

People here were helpful, though they didn’t understand much English. The rooms were clean and the breakfast service was good. It’s a quaint place with good facilities, suited to a short trip when you mainly need a bed to crash in. There isn’t much of a view, and it’s a little tucked away, but that also makes it quiet.

The common dining area is basic, with free tea and coffee sachets, crackers, jam, butter, and a few other things. It’s an okay location and has some character, but the room could use a makeover, especially given how small it is. There’s no lift, and with the room doors close together you may hear other guests passing by. Fine overall for a short stay.
