OYO 928 Leaf Hostel

The staff were super friendly and always welcomed me with a smile. The rooms are spacious and clean, with bedding and towels provided, and the showers and toilets are kept clean and stocked. Drinking water is available on every floor. There's also a washing machine on site, though I didn't use it. It's a bit far from everything, about a 35-40 minute walk to the main attractions in the Old City. There are some nice restaurants within walking distance, plus a Seven-Eleven and a shopping mall. I'd definitely stay here again.

For the same budget as a four-person room in other hostels, you can get a double room here. The location is a bit far out. If you're coming from the airport, I'd recommend using Grab for a bike or car.

We booked through agoda, but when we arrived the place looked way more rundown than the pictures. The staff member didn't seem welcoming or service-minded, and didn't speak to us nicely. The room was the main problem: old, with some things not working, and even the window wouldn't close. It looked completely different from the hostel's agoda photos. We asked the staff about a refund, but they refused, saying, "It has a bed and an AC just like the description, you should've just read it, not look at the provided picture." We left and booked somewhere else right away. Not worth stopping here.

The hostel is great, and I like talking with strangers, but someone at reception wasn't friendly. When I spoke with her, she looked at me like I owed her money. I did my best. It was time to leave, even though I'd wanted to stay a while.
