Pattara Place

The rooms were clean, though this is quite an old place, so don't expect too much. I was worried about noise after reading reviews, but it didn't bother me at all, and I'm sensitive to sounds. The fridge was noisy, but you can simply leave it off. It was easy to leave luggage at reception or have a delivery sent there.

For this price, the room was lousy, the AC didn't work properly and was very noisy, and the walls or windows did little to block the road noise. It's a really bad choice if you want to sleep well. There are much better hotels nearby for price and quality, including North inn town hotel, napatra hotel, The 51 hometel, kame chiang mai, and phumuntra boutique hotel.

Three years ago I gave this place five stars. Now it's only two. Almost nothing has changed except at reception. The young woman there should learn to smile and treat customers nicely. The rest of the staff are still really nice.

The nearby shops offer plenty of local food, and it's nice to sit around and watch people. The room was spacious enough for a short stay, the beds were comfortable, and the view has been decent so far, though there's construction in the area. After trying several hotels where I couldn't sleep, I finally got some rest here. The neighbors' doors can be heard quite loudly, though. It's a lovely place with attentive staff, and I'd come back.
