The location worked well for us, just outside the city center and close to a large mall, shops, and restaurants. We stayed in the three person room, which matched the photos and looked over the pool. The shared pool serves a couple of other buildings, but it was clean and usually empty. Staff were pleasant and willing to help. One small thing: the tub style shower had weak pressure and no curtain, so it didn’t seem to be in the best condition.

We had a lovely finish to our Chiang Mai trip at Peace Pool Chiang Mai, thanks to the very kind and thoughtful service. It’s also well placed for getting around cheaply by public transport, with Wat Phra Sing, Wat Chedi Luang, the Old Town, Tha Phae Gate, Warorot Market, and the Night Bazaar nearby. Maya Shopping Mall is only a five-minute walk away for necessities and souvenirs. The large outdoor pool is right by the accommodation and was clean and pleasant for swimming or sunbathing in the heat. Every meal includes a Korean-style buffet, which is handy if Thai spices are too much for you or you’re missing Korean food. One of my top recommendations for a Chiang Mai stay!

The manager has been in Chiang Mai a long time and knows plenty of good restaurants, cafes, and local spots. She’s Korean and speaks English really well. Her suggestions helped us see places beyond the usual tourist stops. There are two malls close by: Maya Department Store is a three-minute walk from the main entrance, and Wonnimman Shopping Mall takes about two minutes. Maya has local food, a supermarket, pharmacy, and souvenir stores in the basement, with general shops and sushi on the ground floor. Wonnimman has a food court with places locals like, souvenir shops, beer, and local food. There are also some nice cafes behind it. I often went to a yakitori place a minute away toward Maya, and there seemed to be lots of Chinese and Japanese restaurants around. The moat-surrounded old downtown can be explored on foot. Some crossings lack traffic lights, but most drivers stop if you raise your hand and make eye contact. From the window, we could see the central pool. Wi-Fi was fast, the sheets and cleanliness were above average, and the white stair tiles between the pool, lobby, first floor, and rooms stood out. The air conditioning worked well. Water pressure was a little weaker than in Korea. There was a square control box for the shower temperature, but I left it as it was, since the previous guest seemed to have set it comfortably.

Mon made my stay feel like I was with a kind family. She was generous and especially thoughtful about helping me, a woman traveling alone with a big suitcase and lots of belongings. She even arranged for staff to carry everything, which impressed me. The shower spray felt wonderfully soft on my face, and I’d love to get one like it for home. We could still swim on a rainy day, and the pool stayed clean and free of any smell. Thanks for taking such good care of me, Mon.

The kids could spend all day splashing in the little blue tiled pool right outside the door, and it was such a fun part of the stay. It was quiet too, which made it easy for me to enjoy time with them. Even in midsummer, the air conditioning kept the room cool, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was tasty, especially the fresh vegetables from the weekend market. There’s a great coffee shop nearby, plenty of restaurants, and Maya Department Store. The staff are happy to share tips on restaurants, sights, and their favorite shopping spots. I was so glad we could visit Chiang Mai and make happy memories. I love this place and hope it does well.^^
