Rachamankha Hotel

The garden courtyards are lovely, and there’s a beautiful courtyard dining room for breakfast and dinner. Service was excellent and attentive, and the reception staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Dinner was very good and well priced. The pool was lovely too, with comfortable beds. All the rooms open onto pretty garden courtyards, so the views aren’t especially good. That didn’t matter to us at all. We’d come back.

The Library was one of the most serene rooms I’ve ever been in. Everywhere you look, there’s detail and something delightful. This feels less like a hotel and more like an experience, a piece of art that keeps evolving for its guests. The breakfast staff and the courtyard were a joy. The service was extraordinary, too. Sam, thank you for finding us an outside table at dinner. The soft shell crab with curry sauce was perfection. I’ll stay here many more times. Don’t miss this little piece of heaven. 🫶🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💕

Things seemed fine until we paid and were leaving. At the Food & Beverage department, the staff at the beverage counter kept watching us as we passed. They made eye contact but didn’t say goodbye or thank us. They stared until we were out of sight without saying anything, which felt very strange for a hotel of this level. No one seemed friendly or welcoming, and not a single staff member smiled. The atmosphere felt more like a local street-side restaurant than a hotel. While chatting among themselves, staff simply watched guests leave without acknowledging them. In many countries that would be considered quite rude. We weren’t looking for free service, just the proper hospitality paying guests expect.

The staff made us feel so welcome, and I’d happily return. The hotel is beautiful and clearly well cared for, with pretty garden areas and a quiet, peaceful setting. It’s also conveniently located. Reception staff were helpful and knowledgeable about day visits, and helped us arrange several trips to nearby areas. We enjoyed delicious breakfast each morning, and the restaurant team really impressed us with their professionalism and level of service. They were always close by when we needed anything. I’d also like to thank the two waiters who helped me practice my Thai while I’m learning. We had a good laugh as I tried to say something they could understand, and I really appreciated their help. The pool was well maintained, and the food and cocktails were delicious too. Thanks for such a lovely stay.
