There's air conditioning, and there are geckos too. One was hiding in my room when I checked in. I didn't see many people around, so don't expect a bunch of backpackers chatting in the common areas all day. The open corridor is a nice place to sit in the evening, facing roofs of small houses and trees rather than the road. The rooms feel old, and the general vibe reminded me of a cheap roadside motel from American movies.

The rooms are spacious and have balconies, and the place is clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and put care into their work. Everything you need is there, in a lovely part of Chiang Mai. I'll definitely stay again.

The tap water is disgusting, extremely dirty, and has a strong metallic smell. It seems to be untreated underground water, which I think could be dangerous to your health. The room is very old and hasn't been maintained. Avoid this terrible hostel. The receptionist, Ann, was very rude to guests, lazy at work, and had bad manners.
