Very clean, with friendly staff and plenty of space. It’s simple, but a great value for a longer stay. A good fit for a week or more if you’re okay walking, cycling, or using one of the many forms of public transport to get around.

A very good choice for staying in cnx. The room was huge and clean, the staff were good, and there was a full kitchen. The price was reasonable too. Definitely recommend it!

This was my second place in Chiang Mai, and I liked it much more than the first. I really didn’t like where I stayed before, so I wanted to leave a review for this one. It’s clean and nice, with a Japanese feel. There’s even a Japanese hot spring downstairs. A Mini Big C, laundry facility, and great Som Tum restaurant are nearby. If I come back to Chiang Mai, I think I’ll stay here again.

I booked through Agoda and was initially unsure because there were no reviews, it was listed as a homestay, and nobody had contacted me. On arrival, I found it seemed to be a hotel run by an apartment complex. If it doesn’t show up in map or taxi apps, search for Hokka-an Apartment. It’s the same building. The facilities are clean and well equipped, though there was dust, perhaps because there hadn’t been many guests. The interior looked very clean and the building didn’t seem old, but it was quite dusty when I first checked in, so I asked them to clean. The towels kept getting covered in dust too. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. The Old City and Nimmanhaemin are about 10 minutes away by Volt, for under 100 baht. There’s a gym on the first floor for 80 baht and a Japanese sauna there too, which I think cost 350 baht. This is more like a large studio apartment or residence than a hotel, so don’t expect typical hotel service. The staff don’t speak English fluently. They’ll clean the room if you ask, and change the bedding or towels if requested. It has kitchenware so you can cook, plus a TV, shampoo, body wash, hairdryer, towels, and kitchenware. For such a reasonable price, the quality is great. The only photo I have is of breakfast.
