The outdoor area was nice, and 600 baht a night seemed fair for this location. I did have privacy in the yard and by the pool, and the woman working there seemed nice. I didn’t see any insects, unlike some other reviews. But I wouldn’t stay again. My room was dirty on arrival, with toilet paper and used cotton swabs on the floor, and an unemptied bin. The towels and bedsheet were stained, and the mattress felt like it was from the last century. At the entrance, a bunch of people were always watching; I assume they weren’t Thai, and they didn’t greet me or smile back. Nobody explained anything when I arrived, so I had to ask about the pool, breakfast, and Wi-Fi password. He showed me the pool but advised me not to use it for the first two days of my four-night stay because they had to put “chemicals” in it. If the room had been clean and the people at the entrance had smiled a bit more, I’d have had a very positive review.

The outside of the place is lovely, but the pool is cold. We chose it because it was cheap, had a pool, and was in a good location. In the shower, the power went out and I couldn’t see anything. There was no window or ventilation, and, as I suspected, the bathroom ceiling had mold. There’s no fridge, and nowhere in the bathroom to put clean clothes or much of anything without it getting wet in the shower. The wallpaper had some very questionable stains, which I suspect were mold on the walls. The door had cracks, and the bathroom door’s inside lock was broken. It all feels like it hasn’t been renovated in 20 years.

Rooms 336, 337, and 338 on the third floor have no AC, even though the description says they do. With just the fan running all night, it was still so hot we couldn’t sleep. The swimming pool was also too cold for us to swim. We paid almost 1,100 baht per night for a “superior” triple room, room 338, booked for the two of us because no other two-bed option was available except a pricier twin room. The room was old and dirty, with no AC, fridge, or kettle, and not even a free bottle of water. Its window faced a dirty wall. The first night was so hot we couldn’t sleep. When I complained about the awful price for such a terrible room, the woman offered 50 baht “cash back” if I wrote a good review. I refused. This room is worth 500 baht at most. So expect good reviews to be “paid” reviews.

The location is the best part, right inside the old town and close to a street full of restaurants. It’s a huge hotel complex with a range of services all on the property. The furniture is a bit old-school, but it worked well enough for a couple of days. You might hear some noise from other rooms or the hotel’s outdoor area. Budget friendly and well placed 👌
