I’d stayed at this hotel hundreds of times since I was a kid, but last weekend was a nightmare. The room was on the fourth floor, so be careful when booking. The bathroom doorknob was badly broken. They’d added another lock, but the whole thing still looked awful. The peephole in the door didn’t work properly either, and someone had stuck tissue paper in it. There’s also a wooden handrail by the front door that’s in terrible shape. I nearly fell while moving my luggage and holding onto it.

Getting around Chiang Mai from here is a real hassle, and it’s not easy to find a SongTeaw nearby. If you just need a cheap place to sleep, you could consider it. Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby, and breakfast isn’t included in the price. I definitely won’t be back.

It’s a grand old hotel and good value, but the photos show a swimming pool that isn’t there. The staff could also pay more attention to customers instead of their phones.

The rooms are spacious, and the price is very cheap. It was clean, though a bit dated, and there’s no Wi-Fi in the room.

The place was clean, very good, and a really good price for staying in Chiang Mai. I wouldn’t recommend paying for breakfast, though. It was boring to eat.
