It's in the downtown area, but it stays quiet, and the hotel is clean and sanitary. The pool was great on hot days, when I could swim and have a bottle of beer. It's also very close to the airport and the ancient city. I'm really glad I stayed here. To me, that's what travel is about.

I picked this place again for my Chiang Mai trip because the location is so good. It used to be called Sriananpura, and its name and management have changed several times since then. This time, the familiar garden was back, along with the good value: rooms cost just over 1,000 THB. For Songkran, it's hard to beat. The Old City is a 10-minute walk away, with 7-Eleven stores and motorbike rentals nearby.

The location is convenient, close to everything, but the service wasn't good. The toilet smelled kind of bad, and they didn't change the bed sheets. They also didn't provide water or anything in the room like other hotels do. There were lots of lizards outside, though thankfully none came into the room.
