Swiss Lanna Lodge

The house is lovely, all wood, and has a really relaxing feel. The beds are comfortable, everything is very clean, and the bathrooms outside still feel private thanks to the banana trees. Even the shower products are vegan. The food is delicious, especially the homemade yogurt with tropical fruit and local honey. It’s also close to the airport. The hosts are kind and organized, and take good care of guests. When you arrive, they give you useful information, including where to rent a moped, a sheet on 13 things to do nearby, tour details, and maps.

My friend and I spent a few nights at Lanna and were happy with everything, from the service and cleanliness to the atmosphere. The staff were so friendly. When I got sick, someone showed us where to find medicine and wrote my symptoms in Thai for the pharmacist. Breakfast was amazing and reasonably priced. I’d definitely book again.

The hosts and the calm, beautiful setting made Swiss Lanna Lodge feel like a one-of-a-kind place to me. As a solo traveler, I loved being away from the town noise and rode a bicycle every day. It’s a wooden building, so you may hear other guests, but it’s exceptionally clean and feels like home. My single room had a fantastic open bathroom, and the food they make is delicious. There’s a terrace for relaxing or doing yoga. I stayed for more than two weeks and found the hospitality wonderful. They care about their guests and are helpful with tour arrangements. Toto, Marco, the girls, and the aunt are all great people.

I miss SLL now that I’ve left. During my seven nights, I moved twice and stayed in three different rooms. Each had its own character, and they were all spacious, spotless, and comfortable. Toto Ann Lan and the auntie were so kind and attentive, always greeting guests with big smiles and checking that everything was okay. On arrival, there was a colorful fruit treat and refreshing flower tea, and they gave me a nice gift when I left. Toto was generous with two free upgrades, and they also provide free repellent. I’d definitely recommend this lovely place to travelers visiting Chiangmai who want to experience Thai culture.
