The room was average for style and cleanliness, though the bathroom in my first-floor room was clean. The food was good, even better than some night bazaar meals I’ve paid a lot for. The morning buffet had porridge, egg, fried rice, hotdog, and drinks: water, orange juice, coffee, and Ovantin (hot coco, I think). I liked the classic furniture, and the lobby and chicken setting were pretty and organized. The price was cheaper and better than other places I’ve stayed in Chiang Mai.

A comfortable, affordable hotel that’s mountain bike friendly. If you’re planning a Chiang Mai ride, it’s a laid-back place to use as your headquarters, with plenty of night markets and food to hunt down. There’s a mosque within walking distance, Muslim Street is just around the corner, and food is everywhere and tastes good. Check out a local place called 'TrailHead', a relaxing coffee shop with mountain biking gear.

The rooms were generally clean and perfectly okay, and the price felt fair. It’s also only about a five-minute walk to the night market. The breakfast buffet was passable, though nothing special. The building itself looks worn and could really use cosmetic repairs and a proper deep clean.

We came for Songkran and booked three rooms, all next to each other above the office. The rooms were comfortable and clean for sleeping and taking a breather, though they could do with some renovation. Being between the Night Bazzar and Warorot Market worked well, and The Phae Gate was roughly a ten-minute walk away. We could join the water festivities nearby, then come back to dry off and rest. There’s also a big outdoor space in the middle of the hotel for sitting around. The front desk guy spoke very good English and was helpful, including arranging delivery of luggage the airlines had lost. Breakfast was free but only so-so, and it’s better to go early for fresh food. For the price, it was a good stay. Watch the floor in the room when it gets wet, though, because it becomes VERY slippery.
