The Airport Greenery Hotel

The location, about 10 minutes from the airport, was convenient, and having connecting rooms for our family was nice. But the evening brought roaches and other bugs in the bathroom and kitchen area. The beds were so stiff they felt like tables with sheets on them, and when we asked for three pillows, we were told we could only have two. Between the bugs and uncomfortable beds, our stay was really unpleasant.

If you need a budget place near the airport, this could work, but I’d look elsewhere if cockroaches bother you. Like other reviewers have said, the rooms have a serious roach problem and seem infested. The beds are box springs and weren’t very comfortable.

I came back around 9 p.m. after leaving my things at the hotel at 3 and spending the evening in the Old City shopping, having dinner, and getting a massage. When I went to shower, there was a cockroach in the shower. Once I got out, I saw roaches crawling all over the room, even on the bed. I grabbed my stuff and went straight to reception, but all they did was apologize. So there I was in a foreign country, nearly 10 at night with nowhere to sleep. Luckily I managed to book another room on Agoda and take a Grab there. I never got a refund either. Worst experience ever.

This is a pretty standard budget hotel, close to the airport and handy for a red-eye flight. I appreciated the veranda, 24-hour check-in, and shuttle service. The rooms are dated but spacious. Ours wasn’t properly clean when we got in: there was dust on the beds, trash underneath them, and sediment in the toilet. The air conditioner also dripped water into the room during our stay.
