The best thing I can say is that we made it there, after giving up our time and money. I try to follow one rule: if I have nothing good to say, keep quiet, since we're all professionals, owners, or workers. This place broke that rule. The worst part was being made to feel like you suck.

I paid around 700B a night for a regular room with a Queen-size bed, at low-season rates. The bungalows cost 300B more. It's great value, with a fantastic location, superb views, and comfortable beds. The young women at reception were welcoming and helpful. My main issue was the lack of a table and chair. If you need a desk for your computer, you're out of luck.

Villa #2 in April. The staff were so warm and took great care of us, and the room had a lovely, quiet view of the Mekong River. Breakfast was quite nice, with both Thai and "Western" choices. The room was fine and usable, though it could have had a bit more furniture. Just an observation, not a complaint. I think you'll love it here.

The views and quiet were brilliant, and the staff were great, friendly, and spoke very good English. It was so quiet, with no passing traffic. Even driving out to the main road, all you see ahead is a giant Buddha. The room had only one charging point, on one side of the bed, with no bedside table, cabinet, or lights. The shower wouldn't stay hot and flooded quickly. The balcony was filthy. My girlfriend tried to hang out some washing and had to clean the rails first. Her hands were black afterward. Getting to the first floor felt like climbing Mount Everest. I have limited mobility and struggled with the very steep steps. Would I stay again? I'm not sure. I might book a villa because the views and peace were so good.
