The Earth Hotel

It’s quiet, and the location worked well for us: about 15-20 minutes on foot to the old city and 10 minutes to the Neeman area. The hotel has a cozy feel and a nature-inspired design that seems thoughtfully done. The bed and pillows were soft, and the room had the basics we needed, including a kettle, microwave, slippers, washing supplies, hairdryer and robs. Breakfast is at the Moon cafe across the building. You choose one dish per person for the next morning, and it’s European style. Would be nice if latte or cappuccino were on the menu :)

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and breakfast at the cafe next door was superb. The rooms are cute, clean and have a fresh vibe that I think works especially well for young people. There’s no elevator, just stairs, so I wouldn’t recommend it for older people. The bed is small, but it works for couples who want to sleep close together. We loved this hotel.

We all enjoyed our time at The Earth Hotel and have decided to return on our next visit to Chiang Mai. It’s conveniently close to the old city, with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Everyone was impressed by the surroundings and the breakfast at The Moon Cafe, especially the ham and cheese toast and granola and yogurt bowl. The receptionist greeted us warmly and personally showed us to our room, and all the staff, including the friendly, helpful security guard, were lovely. Our group stayed in Sky 41 and Terra 22. The rooms were nice, especially the two-bedroom suite, where we had a spacious shared area to chat in the evenings.

The only downside was having no elevator 🤣. We stayed in a two-bedroom room that felt really spacious for a reasonable price, with a minimal, Muji-style interior. Breakfast is served at the cafe in front of the hotel, and they even made name tags for us. Such a thoughtful detail, loved it.
