The Locals Chiang Mai

I liked how peaceful the garden and old rustic house felt, with birds singing and squirrels darting around the trees. My room was roomy, had everything I needed, and looked out over the house from a small balcony. The staff made it feel homey, and the lobby was a relaxed place to sit. It's easy to walk to Tha Pae gate from here, too. The hotel sits in a quiet spot east of the old town square, and I'd happily book it again.

The one disappointment was the balcony room. Its balcony was boxed in by a wall, with just a small window on one side, so it wasn't really usable. I'd come back, but only for a room with a full balcony. The rest of the room was clean and nice, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The location is great, with everything close by. I also liked the seating area, and guests get complimentary coffee, cookies, and fruit.

Breakfast was such a good part of the stay. We could choose from the menu, and they had it ready the next morning at the time we asked for. The outside area was peaceful, and there was an adorable little dog greeting people at the desk. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's on a quiet street, but the street markets are only a five-minute walk away. We felt we got more value here than spending what we'd pay at the Marriott. A wonderful find, and we'll return to Chiang Mai.

Moon, Rose and Om welcomed us as soon as we arrived, always smiling and genuinely kind and helpful. The hotel had a personal, home away from home feel, and the peaceful garden added to it. Our rooms were spotless, nicely designed with a cozy local touch, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious each morning, with fresh local ingredients and plenty of choice. The location is in a charming, quiet neighborhood, close to the main attractions and cafes. We'd definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Chiang Mai! ❤️
