The Tippanet

The hotel has a distinctive design, with several staircases and landings, and I liked the cozy foyer. Our room was clean, too. The staff were incredibly friendly and even helped arrange a Jungle Flight Zipline tour. It’s worth booking through Tippanet, and when I felt unwell they kindly rescheduled it for us. Tony also gave us really useful advice on getting around Chiang Mai.

Yee and Yong, the two sisters who run the place, were wonderful and gave us plenty of tips for getting around Chiang Mai. The rest of the staff were just as friendly and polite, always happy to help. The hotel was very clean, spacious, and nicely decorated, with a calm atmosphere we really enjoyed.

The staff are the best part of this hotel, everyone was so, so nice, spoke English very well, and was genuinely helpful. The rooms are spacious, pretty, and clean, with soft beds that we loved. It’s the best hotel we’ve stayed at in Thailand, especially in Chiang Mai. We’ll definitely come back on our next visit. Thanks so much, Tippanet Hotel :)

The only thing I’d change is the scented tissues in the rooms. I’m a little sensitive to perfume and generally prefer unscented ones, though that may just be me. I’m quite particular about service, design, cleanliness, and quality, and this hotel did well on all of them. The layout and design are fantastic, with interesting art and decor that’s worth photographing. I liked the rule about taking off your shoes at the entrance. The place was very clean, with no missed spots that I could see. As someone with dust allergies and a bit of a germaphobe, I noticed that. The bedroom felt simple, fresh, and cozy, with good lighting and a nice amount of space. The mattress, sheets, pillows, and bathroom soaps were all good quality. Water pressure was decent, and the shower could get hot. The bathroom looked much better in person than in the photos, which seem to show only one distant view. I barely tried the television, but it had a couple of English channels and seemed pretty basic. Tony, the owner, was around and was amazingly friendly and helpful during our stay. He gave us recommendations and helped us rent a car, which we appreciated. The staff were friendly and proactive too. As someone in the service industry, I thought he’d done a great job with them. They made us feel cared for. The location seemed good to me, fairly central in town. It was quiet, with no traffic or construction disturbances, and right near an old market selling Buddhist goods. That was interesting.
