The Twenty Lodge

Sushi, the hotel cat, was a fun bonus. She had plenty to say at times, then purred in the sun when she got some head scratches. We loved the peaceful old town setting for our few nights in Chiang Mai. The garden and quiet pool were lovely places to hang out, and our clean, well-kept room suited a midweek stay perfectly. The hotel sits inside the city walls near a local night market, and most major sights are about a 10-15 minute walk away. A taxi gets you out of the center even faster. The staff were so friendly and genuinely cared about our stay. They took care of every little request straight away, making this our favorite place of the whole Thailand trip, even though it wasn’t the most expensive. Breakfast was well made and high quality, if a little limited in choice. For a hotel this size, that seemed sensible, especially given their effort to avoid wasting food and water. Thanks to the Twenty Lodge team for making our stay so pleasant. We hope to come back one day. L+M.

We stayed in Thailand for eight weeks, and this was by far the cleanest hotel of the trip. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were great, friendly, and always ready to help. I accidentally left with the room key, then contacted the hotel from the airport and said I’d return it after landing in Saigon. They agreed without charging me. I’m glad to say it arrived today. Highly recommend this place and its staff. Thank you.

We were really happy with the stay and would gladly come back. The staff, location, and rooms were all fantastic. The room, bedding, air conditioning, and bathroom were excellent!

The quiet, cozy rooms feel spacious, and there’s plenty of greenery around this lovely little boutique hotel in Chiang Mai Old City. Staff were friendly, and breakfast was healthy. Keep an eye out for the cat if you’re lucky!
