The rooms looked nice, and the monthly rates sounded reasonable at first: 3500THB for a fan room or 4000THB for air conditioning, with water and electricity extra. I spoke with the receptionist because I wanted to stay for a month. The next day, when I tried to book on Line, a woman told me there was a 3000THB deposit, which seemed okay, but I’d have to stay at least 6 months to get it back. So this place works if you plan to stay for 6 months or more. Most tourists can’t stay that long because their visa period is shorter. They should explain this rule upfront. If you only want to stay one month, the cost is 6500, not 3500Thb.

Rooms come in dormitory style for 3000-4000 baht a month, with fan or air conditioning and different sizes depending on the price. They’re clean and quiet, with furniture in good working order, balconies, and towel racks. The owner lives in the building and is friendly, and there’s a lovely housekeeper too. It feels like living among neighbors, including families, Thai residents, professionals, and foreigners. There’s WiFi, hot water, toilets, motorcycle parking, and coin-operated washing machines. The water is 100 baht per person and electricity is 7 baht per unit. The owner keeps rabbits and runs a clothing shop, packing orders at the front of the building. Some families can be noisy, as neighbors sometimes are, and now and then the owner’s friends have parties that get loud, but it’s generally okay. The gate closes at 9 PM or later depending on the owner. After 9 PM, you have to switch off or start vehicles outside, then bring them in. You get a room key and a gate key.

The monthly dorm is in a small, narrow alley that cars can’t use. It’s clean, with good rules for residents, and water and electricity cost quite a bit less than at other places nearby.
