Travelodge Nimman Chiang Mai

Aoy deserves special mention. She was so friendly and helpful, explained things clearly, and always had a smile. She made me feel very welcome throughout my stay. The lobby is clean, modern, and inviting, and my bedroom was spacious, comfortable, and well designed, with a cozy bed and clean bathroom. Travelodge Nimman is right in the heart of the Nimman area.

The staff were friendly, accommodating, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay, and the hotel was clean and well maintained. It’s conveniently located and offers good value. The breakfast buffet had a solid variety, and the gym had enough equipment for a basic workout. The pool area has room for improvement. It’s large, but the layout feels like a missed opportunity, with lots of shaded unused space and a large shallow area where the water only reaches your feet, though there is also a chest-deep section. They could have made better use of the big deck. Aside from that, no real complaints. I’d stay again.

I mentioned at check-in that it was our wedding anniversary, and they upgraded us to a larger room with a balcony. A nice gesture. I didn’t realize the hotel is made up of seven separate blocks, interestingly named Terminal 1 through Terminal 7. It’s a comfortable hotel near the airport. They offer a free tuk tuk shuttle to and from the nearby Eastin Hotel, opposite Maya Shopping Center, where there are plenty of places to shop and eat.

We’ve stayed here more than once because the rooms were clean and the location was good. This time, though, the service was very poor. The front desk staff had no service mind and gave us incorrect information. We went to check in at the main lobby but were turned away and told to check in at another building, with no explanation. They offered an upgrade, but the price was insane compared with what was online. The location is still really convenient, near Nimman Road, and breakfast has plenty of choices.
