Making a fan was a fun little thing to do in Chiang Mai. The host was great. Putting it together was easy, while making it look nice with paint was harder, but I still had a good time.

We felt welcome right from the start, and this was our best experience in Chiang Mai. The food was authentic Thai cooking, with fresh ingredients laid out for us. We made the dishes together and could ask questions about how to prepare them. Everything tasted great too :).

I fell in love with Baannoi Nornmuan over two stays, five months the first time and three the next. Phee pa and phee ton, the caretakers, were so loving, kind, and helpful that I think of them as my Thai aunt and uncle. My room was always clean and had what I needed. The cottage sits in a safe-feeling local neighborhood, and the neighbors, nearby temple, and walks to the bakery made my stay more memorable. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to the city. I plan to come back to Thailand and really hope there's a vacancy so I can stay here again!!!

Making Lana bamboo weaving here was such a great experience. I'd say it's a must try when you're in Chiang Mai!
