The pool area is pleasant, though it only has a few sun chairs, and the staff are super nice and welcoming. The rooms are very spacious. It’s quite far from everything, but might be worth trying if you have a car or bike, and the price seems reasonable. I’m not entirely sure, but it appears to be Chinese-owned, with lots of Chinese prints around. The big drawback for me was having no designated smoking area. Many guests seemed to be Chinese or Korean and smoked often, including by the pool and on room terraces. The smoke carried everywhere and was unpleasant, enough to lower my rating by 1-2 stars. If you want somewhere quiet and don’t mind the smoke, this could suit you.

The smoking situation spoiled the stay for me. People smoked outside on balconies and by the pool, and I could smell strong smoke even from inside my room. The hotel felt very welcoming to smokers. With its green setting and colorful plants, I wish the atmosphere came with clean air too. If smoking is still allowed across the property, I won’t return. It feels like a real loss, because there’s a lot to like here. The Thai-style building is classic and lovely, with a beautiful pool and little gardens full of greenery. My room was spacious and clean, with a nice bed, small fridge, and kettle. I enjoyed listening to music, reading, and journaling over hot tea. Breakfast was fabulous: fresh fruit and vegetables, freshly brewed coffee, and meals prepared to order. The attentive, smiling staff were helpful, and their English was good, so communicating was no problem.

The hotel is farther from the city than I realized, but I’d absolutely stay again. There weren’t many other guests, so it was quiet apart from our loud family. The pool was amazing, and the floating meals were fun. We had dinner at the hotel twice, and both meals were fantastic with prices that can’t be beat. The rooms were spacious and nice, and the massages were decently priced too.
