Chotana Villa

The quiet setting gives the place a peaceful feel, with no busy traffic noise. The lobby coffee house has tea and coffee any time, and breakfast is available only if ordered in advance and paid for separately, it isn’t included with the room. The price is higher than average, and I wouldn’t recommend staying unless they address the problems we had. We were a group of five and got a standalone, two-storey unit. Layouts vary by room. Downstairs had two single beds and stove facilities; upstairs had a king bed, wardrobe, and a cracked bathtub that was only for looks and couldn’t be used. The rooms were a good size, and the outside looked beautiful, especially around the pool. There weren’t enough hooks or hangers, even in the bathrooms, so nowhere to hang clothes. I had to wrap myself in a bath towel and go out to the bedroom to change. The sink leaked, leaving a puddle to stand in while using it. Both bathrooms had a sewage smell. At first we thought ventilation was the cause and opened the windows, but by the 3rd day we realized that was just how they were built. There’s only a curtain between each bathroom and bedroom, no door, and the smell still got through when it was closed. Five other couples we knew were staying in the villa, and most had similar bathroom complaints. We reported the problem at reception, but nothing was done. Hopefully they try to fix it after we left.

The hotel is in an urban area, with lots of grocery stores nearby. Our room was clean, with a hot tub, big comfortable beds, and good WiFi. We took the photos during the lunar eclipse while we were staying there.

The room was super comfortable and relaxing, and I loved all the greenery around the villa. The staff were very friendly, too. CFCXN is so close by.

It looks good from outside, but there isn’t much soundproofing, so you can hear outside noises like frogs and airplanes. The building is a little old.
