We came by train from Bangkok and arrived in Chiang Mai around 5 AM. The male owner was so friendly and helpful, and letting us check in early was a huge relief. The old Chinese-style design gives the hotel a lot of character. It’s a budget-style place, but comfortable and clean. The grandma running the little shop is really sweet, and there’s a 7-Eleven a short walk away. The city is also within walking distance. We stayed three days and had a pleasant, cozy visit. I’d recommend it.

For the price, you’re not getting a luxury hotel, but the room was very clean and had a fridge and aircon. The old city is within walking distance. I’d definitely recommend it.

We’ve stayed here several times since 2013, most recently two years ago, and the family who run the place still remembered us. They’re very friendly. It’s five minutes from Thapae Gate and close to food and other activities. The room and common areas are clean, there’s a mini convenience store at the entrance, and longer stays are available. There’s ample parking if you’re driving.

The hotel owner is a very, very nice man, and I have a lot of respect for him. Still, I can’t let this go. I accidentally left my $100 electric toothbrush in the bathroom and went back the next day, only 24 hours later, to get it. They told me they’d thrown it in the bin. Who does that?

The apartment is in a superb spot, close to the city center and all the famous restaurants. There’s also a store nearby where you can buy daily necessities. The rooms are good, and the prices aren’t very expensive.
