Pi Kom is a lovely manager, easy to reach on Air BnB or WhatsApp, and often around watering the plants, answering questions, or bringing clean linen. The outdoor space and the chance to meet considerate, like-minded travellers were real pluses for us. We also met some fantastic guests, though for a few weeks the people on both sides were noisy and inconsiderate. The rooms feel private and secure, but sound carries between them, so it can feel like the person next door is right there in bed with you. We stayed six weeks from mid-Nov 2024 and would gladly return. Baan Kiri suited us for location, price, and bungalow-style rooms, which seem harder to find in CM as generic apartments and hotels take over. There are walking trails nearby and it’s close to the mountain road up to Doi Suthep. The crossroads can get busy, so it isn’t the spot for quiet, but the local area is just a short ride away and the location is otherwise convenient.

Khom is a communicative, great host, and I’ve stayed here twice. It’s a gem in a really quiet area, with a lovely garden, fast WiFi, comfortable beds, AC, and all the kitchen things you could need. Thank you!

The village nearby has lots of good shops and cafes, and the beautiful mountain walks are so close. I spent a month at Baan Kiri and really enjoyed it. The rooms are large and comfortable, with everything you need, and Kom, the owner, is lovely and happy to accommodate your needs. :)

I only came in for a massage, and it was a terrible experience. During my 90-minute session the masseuse took SIX phone calls, no joke. The technique didn’t feel good or professional, the products seemed low quality, and the price was high for CM. It was the worst massage I’ve had in Chiang Mai. The woman was very kind and apologized for the interruptions, but I won’t come back for a massage. I haven’t tried the accommodation or food, so I don’t want to drag down the whole place’s rating, but the massage service itself would honestly get one star from me.
