The HomeStay is about 5km from the main city, which made it a lovely refuge after a day in town. It’s easy to get to by saung tau, tuk tuk, taxi, or bike. The accommodating, helpful staff made it feel even more like a haven. Thanks to everyone for such a great stay. Highly, highly recommended! I spent 10 days here in January 2015 and loved the beautiful grounds, with fruit trees and spots to walk or sit in the sunshine. There were several room options in different sizes and layouts, and every room I saw was clean and beautifully designed. Mine was bright and full of light, with a stocked kitchen and dining area, plus an indoor/outdoor claw-foot tub and shower right beside an outdoor saline pool.

There’s a lovely woman about 150m from the home stay who does Thai massage for 180 baht an hour. Several coffee shops and restaurants are about 250m away. The place itself is beautiful, very clean, and has wonderful staff.

The neighborhood was great, with weekend gatherings at night. It was fun to see how the locals lived, and the location avoids city traffic when heading out to hike or explore the many sites beyond the city. It’s not too far from town, and the grounds and people are wonderful.

We had the whole complex to ourselves, and the shared areas looked neglected and weren’t as clean as I expected. Maybe there were fewer guests after Covid. At night, there were lots of frogs, plus roosters starting up at 5 am, so keep that in mind if you’re sensitive to noise. It could have been a nice place, but I didn’t feel it was worth the price.

The host was great, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. There are plenty of restaurants and chic shops nearby, while the city is only about a $3 Uber ride away. A beautiful place that I’d recommend to other travelers.
