The owner and his family were great and attentive. Cookie (the dog) is lovely and really quiet, so I don’t understand the bad comments about it. The place is nice to stay in, though it’s about a 15-minute walk from the center. The city is nice too, so the walk is enjoyable. I tried to extend my stay, but every room was already taken.

We stayed two nights at u&me hostel. The staff were very friendly, even though we arrived late, and the rooms were clean and comfortable enough. WiFi worked well. The entrance and reception were what really put us off. They smelled horrendous, with rubbish everywhere, enough to make you feel sick. I hope they give that area a proper deep clean.

I stayed just one night before heading down to BKK. You get what you pay for, and I think the negative reviews are unfair. The room and bathroom were clean and fully functional, and the location was great. For these prices, what more could you want? The puppy was a bonus too.

We spent five nights here in two different rooms, and both were great. They were fairly big, with balconies, and the place was very clean. It felt like home. The host was always up for a chat, easy to reach and full of good advice. His family were lovely and welcoming too, and they have a cute dog. We booked a day trip and transport to pai through them. The location was great as well. We’ll miss this place!

We had such a good week here, and the puppies made it even better :) The room was in perfect shape, and the hosts were so warm and friendly. Best hostel in Chiang Mai, highly recommend.
