The room had a lovely, stylish look, and I really liked the bathtub facing the street. This is a cute boutique hotel in a central spot, and I’d recommend it, with a few reservations. Street noise came through loudly, the room wasn’t spotless, and it wasn’t cleaned during our two-night stay. The price also felt a little high for what we got. Reception was usually empty, so it was hard to get help with requests.

I wouldn’t recommend this place for families. There were lots of people partying and smoking downstairs, which was really unpleasant. I expected a villa, but it felt more like a guesthouse, with a crowd on the first floor who seemed to be friends of the owner. The pool is tiny and seems mainly for photos. It’s too deep for kids and too small for adults.

The pool looked more decorative than usable, and it was tiny and not clean-looking. Reception was nearly always empty, and there are nicer places in Chiang Mai for the same price. In the room, I found a used cotton bud and an opened soap bar by the sink, and it didn’t seem properly cleaned after the previous guests. I couldn’t lock the door at first because the lock handle had come off and was on the floor. The lights only worked after 6 pm, then stopped in the morning.

The location is great, right in the middle of the old town, and there’s some parking in front. She looked after us really well, and the service was very good. The hygiene needs work, though. There was still rubbish on the floor, the pillow and blanket had dirt on them, and the floor felt sticky underfoot.

The owner and staff really went out of their way to make our stay good. It’s a beautiful villa in a great location, and I can’t recommend it enough.
