The hosts were welcoming, and there were surprisingly few mosquitoes even though we stayed by the lake. We loved the 15 cats, chickens, duck and rabbits, especially the cats that may come visit your place. The views of tea plantations just outside the house are great. We rented bicycles and rode to the White temple in about 30 minutes. Scooters are available too. Nee is a great cook, and breakfast is included. We recommend ordering dinner as well. We're vegetarians, and they have a vegan menu. All the dishes were great. Highly recommend this place.

Staying here felt like visiting a relative's garden house, thanks to the hosts’ warmth and hospitality. Their homemade bakery is so yummy. Don’t hesitate to stay here!

The quiet here was wonderful. On the edge of town, the only sounds were frogs, crickets, the wind and things like that. Our rooms sat slightly above the ground and had a separate outdoor lounge with a view over the paddy fields and the house pond. There were surprisingly few mosquitoes, even though we were there in rainy season beside the fields. It’s an artistic, unusual place the owner has built himself over the last 20 years. The garden, traditional little houses and eclectic mix of art pieces are all different, but somehow fit together. Our four kids loved the kittens, rabbits, ducks and enormous fish in the pond. The hosts were wonderful, and the food was very good too. A real quiet heaven. We’d come back in a heartbeat!

We really liked being out of town here. It was quiet, with no traffic noise, and we walked around the nearby tea plantation and village. Chiang Rai is still easy to reach. The early roosters didn't bother us either, especially since Nee and Oy are such animal lovers. The whole property is Oy's creation, from the guest rooms and temple to the jungle landscaping and little places to sit. It's a beautiful, relaxing tropical spot. Nee looks after the homestay and was friendly and helpful, and we loved the home-baked treats she served in the restaurant while we looked out over the lake and landscape. Our room was comfortable, though the bed was quite firm. If you're after a genuine, rustic homestay, this is a lovely choice.

The owners, the animals, and the temples they built themselves made the place fascinating, and the owner was always ready to help make our stay comfortable. It felt like a bargain for everything the farm offers. It's about 20 km from the centre, with waterfalls, Shinga Park, and more nearby. This was exactly the kind of place I wanted, and the best accommodation I've had in Thailand. I'd suggest staying at least four days to recharge for the rest of your trip. Kop Kun Kha!
